Canuck and Oiler fans; would you like this trade?

Created by: alwaysnextyear
Team: 2016-17 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: May 31, 2016
Published: May 31, 2016
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
RNH isn't the knuckle dragging type that Benning seems so smitten with, but he's right in that age range of player he's been obsessively collecting and would help the team compete right away. A 1-2 center combo of RNH and Horvat is something the team can build around for the future.

For the Oilers, they have all kinds of options with the 4th and 5th pick, not to mention Yak as a trade chip as well. Any one or combo of those three will get them varying degrees of the RHD they covet, plus they now have an extra 6 million in cap space to work with.

EDM doesn't need picks really. Fair value probably though. Maybe a + from VAN.

From a Canucks fans perspective, Nugent Hopkins has shown he is fairly injury prone, I don`t see him growing in size much more than where he`s currently at. A Tkachuk or Dubois has potential to be a much bigger Forward down the road and could play with our top prospect Brock Boeser

Habs fan here, so I'm on the outside looking in; I feel like Edmonton can get better value elsewhere. Nuge is yet young and a 1st overall pick from just a few years ago. The Oilers need a RHD and can get one of value from other teams looking to bolster their center core. Vancouver wins this one hands down.

I'm sure Benning and most Cancuks fans would do that deal as it is clear they are trying to retool. And they are not going to blow it up until the Sedins move on.

I think Edmonton will make a deal for at least a top four RHD who has proven they can play now...unless they had a three way deal already worked out with a team that is in love with Tkachuk or Dubios.
