The Stars have a long history of sticking with their AHL veterans. Maxime Fortunas, Travis Morin, now Justin Dowling. It’s helped them be one of the most successful AHL franchises over the past decade. I’m sure the fans in Austin like this and it doesn’t really cost Dallas anything (other than a contract spot). Good signing to keep leadership in place.
