Assuming a $3 million cap increase.....

It's tight, but managable.

The debate here is do you move Kadri this year, or wait until next....... Frankly I am waiting. Cap space will still be needed.

Keider signing (hard to gauge two years out) provides size and speed on the LW that outside Hyman is lacking. Debate if 5 years works, but I am not going beyond that either. For that matter, Johnsson might grow into the role; but it still means dipping into the UFA pool imo, but can go with a someone who would fall into the $4 million range.......

Kapanen would need to have a HUGE year to earn that kind of contract in my opinion. Personally, I can see him getting $5M and Dermott getting $4M on a slightly different term. That kind of change doesn't impact your bottom line though.
I also think that in another year one of Moore, Bracco, or Petan will be able to play top-9 minutes and adding a UFA forward in someone like Kreider won't be necessary, maybe that money could be used on the blueline for more help, or Johnsson would get a bigger slice of the pie (see my comment on part 1 as well).

Can't disgaree there. It's hard to gauge that far out what a Bracco or Johnsson will grow into in 2 years. Petan is the guy I see replacing Kadri long term; so in 21-22, I would be moving Kadri which makes Keider fit.

Notwithstanding, moving that money tonthe blueline is solid feedback and is appreciated.
