I like it, but theres few problems. For starters you forgot about this guy named Cale Makar... He projects to be your best dman and you didn't even sign him. He's absolutely destroying the NCAA this season, and he was the 4th OA draft pick in his draft year.

I also can't see the Islanders letting Lehner go, like for any reason, at all. They've had goalie problems for so long, and now they have one who might get nominated for the Vezina this year. They won't let him walk, they'll pay him what he wants. And its not like he's going to complain about playing in New York, for a playoff team, with a defensive oriented style of play in front of him. Not a chance he'll be available to sign, and if he is theres probably 5 teams in the league that will outbid you at way more than 4.5 million.

Also Girard is too good to be a scratch. Why pay 6 million for Gardiner when Girard is potentially as good. Plus you already have too many left handed NHL dmen???

You're right that Dzingle has only just had a breakout year, which is why he'll sign with whatever team offers the most term. He won't risk signing a 3 year deal, and then playing poorly. He'll be looking for 5 or 6 year contract, and he'll get one.
