I just think they can get quite a bit more for Brodin. Think Jake Muzzin type trade.

Jake Muzzin - 2019 1st - Sean Durzi (2nd round pick playing really well in the OHL) - Carl Grundstrom - (2nd round pick playing well with the marlies.)

Jonas Bordin - 2020 1st - Alexander Romanov (2nd round pick that played REALLY well at worlds, but quite unimpressive albeit VERY young in 43 games the KHL, but I would agree the ceiling is high. It's the more developed player...less risk or high ceiling less developed player.) - Charlie Lindgren (he's not even MTL's best goalie prospect per a lot of MTL fans. Cayden Primeau is playing DARN good)

Although I think your arguement is correct in adjusting the value a bit, it's not nearly what you suggest. There's a big difference between MTLs 1st round picks and Torontos, and trying to say Romanov is the same as Durzi is just not true. Romanov just won top defenceman honors at the WJC, has been playing 14 minutes in the KHL at 18 and has become a top rated prospect, far better than both Durzi and Gundstrom.

I think the trade above is close, just have to change the 5th round pick to a 3rd or 2nd depending on Minnesotas opinion of Fluery and Evans.

Well part of that I agree with. Romanov played in 43 games and played 11:23 a game and currently 8:32 in the playoffs. He DID play outstanding @ worlds though. I thought I mentioned that. AND his ceiling is higher than Durzi, but Durzi was just a few picks behind Romanov and bluntly...just plays more significant minutes right now. Sure OHL vs KHL, but he gets on the ice. Romanov is their 7th Dman right now basically riding pine and even a healthy scratch for a playoff game too. Link Below. Now...NONE of this guarantees anything, but those two players are closer than most people think. AR more over-rated than people saw at worlds and Durzi under-rated because he was an "extra" piece in a trade. Truly, they're pretty close.

***EDIT*** i Basically swapped Evans and Lindgren. I just thought MIN could use a goalie prospect and MTL has (2) good ones. Easier to trade away from the MTL perspective. I actually really like Jake Evans. Saw him play @ ND a few times. Would look great wearing an Indian Head!
