Is that all it takes to get Miller outta Vegas? Don't think the Rangers will look to get him since they're rebuilding, but that's an interesting cost.
Also, Karlsson signs for more than $6M. Probably looking around $6.5-$7M minimum

Rangers are going to be adding pieces this summer. Management doesnt plan on dragging this rebuild on much longer.

Got a source for that? Cause everything they've done so far suggests they aren't changing the plan of the rebuild

Rumored to be a soft rebuild, looking to add some major pieces.

I can sorta see your point there. But that article also only mentions Panarin and doesn't say they'd be going out to add other major pieces. It's also all dependant if they get Panarin or not

& take it from a Leafs fan, it's much better to suffer the short term pain then to try to rebuild through free agency and trades. I know that's easier said than done, especially with Lundqvist being completely stubborn and not willing to move his NMC, but it's worth it in a few years to be competitive long term instead of just temporarily for a few years

Insiders like Carp and McKenzie have stated multiple times they're the favorites for Panarin and will be looking to fix the defense. General thought in the industry is that this will be the last year of the tear down and that this off season will be when Gorton begins to build the roster back up.

Ranger fan here. I'm not sure the Rangers are looking to cut corners on the rebuild, but RHD is a huge need for them, Miller is still pretty young, controlled for a few years, so I think he'd be a good fit. I think they would do it whether they sign free agents this offseasons or not
