No question, Montreal would take this. I can't see Colorado doing it without some serious conditional picks going the other way.

What I think it would take for Montreal to let Drouin go? Kerfoot plus 'something' from the minors (goalie Francouz ?) or draft (not higher than 3rd round).

I like both of those trades and think both would take them... However, there is no way that Karlsson would sign with the avs and even less a chance that Lehner will leave the Islanders after the season he is having there...

As even as the rangers deal is, i don't think they take it as Barrie can walk after the 19-20 season.. People have andersson labeled as a bust for his draft position (7th), but they always forget he's only 20.
He obviously isn't as NHL ready as most people thought, but i think people take for granted the true dumpster fire that Hartford is.
So many players look like they are garbage and have looked much better in the NHL (Lindgren, Hajek, and past players like Skjei, McDonagh).
He does need to spend more time in the AHL but why submit him to that horrid team. They really should do an overhaul over this summer for the AHL and make it into a good team so he can be developed further rather that wallow on the fourth line in the NHL. IF they do this, he should be a mid-year call up should they trade Strome or Namestnikov

Barrie is worth more than Drouin alone. Barrie is the 9th d-men overall in NHL for points since 2013-2014 (last 6 seasons). He's a career 0.66 pts per game producer. Drouin is a forward with a career 0.61 pts per game. In is draft class (2013) he's just a little better than Elias Lindholm 0.59, Bo Horvat 0.58, Anthony Mantha 0.58 and Alex Wennberg 0.51.

I think MTL will have to add at minimum a 2nd rounder pick or a very good prospect with Drouin for Barrie. Another suggestion might be Kerfoot + Meloche for Drouin.

I would do Kerfoot + 2nd rounder and maybe add a bit more for Drouin

why not? Not many other teams have the cap space to sign him and the Avs cup window will (hopefully) start to open soon with the addition of Makar + OTT pick. Seems like a fit to me...
