New Pens - 3 Team Trade and Offer Sheet

Created by: Sidstick87
Team: 2019-20 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 12, 2019
Published: Mar. 15, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
3 - TEAM TRADE - BREAKDOWN

PENS GET :
RFA RIGHTS TO -
- LW/RW- K. Fiala
- C- R. Faksa - $2.2m
- (MIN) 19' - 2nd Round pick
- (MIN) 19' - 3rd Round pick

MINNY GET :
- RW- P. Kessel - $6.8m
- LHD- B. Gleason - $761,

DALLAS GET :
- C- V. Rask - $4m
- LW/RW- D. Simon - $750,
LHD- N. Seeler - $725,

- PENS loose Phil but get a perfect 3rd Line Center in Faksa and one of my fav players in Fiala. In Fiala getting him around
stars like 87 & 71 could make him reach his potential and be a legit star.

- Also Pens get back Kappy and with his speed and ability... mixed with 87 & 59, that 1st line could be scary.

- Yes, I have McCann Cann as 4C but the kid can play anywhere in line -up and is only going to keep getting better here.
+ Blueger is a really good 4C too
+ Having 4 good lines take some minutes off of 71 & 87

- Free Agent Pick ups of -
LW- Jamie McGinn - could be a steal after being hurt all yr and plays a smart / hard game
LW/C- Oscar Lindberg as a depth guy with his speed to throw in lineup

The compensation for Kapanen, would be after the draft so the 1st and 3rd round picks would both be 2020, per CBA, only 1st round picks can be on consecutive years.

I could see those trades working out. I don't know how likely Fenton would be to give up Fiala, especially for an aging Kessel. Toronto do doubt matches the Kapanen offer sheet as well.

Sens trade makes no sense, only helps Pens. They maybe do it if you 'pay' them to take on Johnson.

Stop trading Kessel. People just make themselves look silly when they trade Kessel.

Send Fiala to DAL then the trades make sense, but as of now DAL is getting wrecked in that deal.

haha you're getting close! You always have 2 teams making out well but 1 not so much. 3 way trades are hard.
