which part? feel free to have an opinion

if referencing the SJS trade..... i am working on the assumption that they can re-sign EK65 + if they lose 2 of Pavelski, Nyqvist/donskoi, who is playing RW for them? plus they get some draft capital (which has been completely used up in the next 2 years (SJS has 3/8 picks in the top 4 rounds next 2 years)

I have yet to see one post that handles the cap and makes any sense unless it has 20 players

again, so tired of the "not happening" "dreaming" "not good enough" takes from the ACGM "experts".....

have some stones and try to provide reasoning for your opinion.....
for FLA: after next year they could lose both their top RW
having Nylander also play #2C, is better than Troceck
FLA gets a prospect to replace Ekblad; and a future Goalie

Leafs get stud #1 RHD, they have another Goalie in the system,

Florida doesn’t even think about that deal. Hard pass.

I’m not sure on this, but I’m not 100% sure Marleau going on ltir makes a difference. The whole point of 35+ contracts is they’re on the cap no matter what. For arguments sake let’s say he can. He would literally have to not play a single regular season game, and then suit up for playoffs? Really?

the LTIR is a fair question, and after looking over the CBA i didn't see any specifics that 35+ cannot be on LTIR...... really just looking for another avenue that hasn't been (from what ive seen) explored to game the Cap in 2019-20

I would trade Nylander for Ekblad right away.

just tried an ACGM with ARZ, and moved hossa +35 contract to LTIR & it did increase the cap space, they havent..... to reach the floor...... so there may be an avenue here to hide $$

My goals for next year for ACGMs quit trading Horton. He has no affect on the Leafs cap next year. And no team is going pay 5.3m out of pocket. Hardly the way to get to the cap floor.
As a Leaf, I wouldn't make that Florida. Leafs need inexpensive assets to play in the NHL like Liljegren and Woll. Want cap space...trade Nylander for young assets.

Hossa wasn't to traded to reach the cap floor. They are well above the cap floor, There are reasons that Arizona accepts Datsyuk and Hossa to their cap. It is not benefit Arizona. Even Hossa wouldn't affect the Hawks cap...as long as he stayed on LTIR.

Acgm isn’t perfect. Put Marner on a 4 year deal and on here he shows up as an rfa after the deal, but we all know that’s not the case. This stuff isn’t perfect, so I’m not convinced.
