I think Keith is better than hjalmarrson... because he is I don’t think that he just is and Arizona don’t want his contract I don’t think either team would want that trade. Elder is not worth that much and even tho he’s an upgrade to the defense I don’t think he makes that much of a difference. Dzingal tho I’m ok with but I think he’s more a 4million dollar contract guy than 5 million. And the lines are terrible. Strome on the 3rd line and ansimov on the 2nd? Gus on the 3rd? Debrincat on the 3rd?!?! What is this wtf??????

I do agree Edler might be a slight over payment, but we have the cap space, he improves the defence and he can be a bridge between some of the young guys. However I don't see him leaving Vancouver.

I'd rather keep Keith than trade him away. As much as Keith isn't close to being his old Norris Trophy self, Hammer isn't 28 anymore either.

Edler for 6M is a terrible idea. He's not the same player one might remember from the rivalry days anymore, and seems lucky to play in 70 games a season.

To improve the D, they have 4 prospects coming. One or two could be ready next season. If one wants to burn cap space on a free agent, see how Trouba's negotiation goes for the Jets. If it goes south maybe they'll trade rights as he's an RFA. There's a few players after Karlsson that seem like better options than Edler.
