I liked Hexy's patient approach, but if we could do this I'd do it in a heartbeat. Those contracts are probably going to be bad in their last two years and we might get in some cap trouble, but I don't give a damn. With Giroux, Panarin, Karlsson, Couturier and Hart, there's definitely a solid chance for a cup and I'd be willing to risk it.

However, that Canadiens trade is a no-no. I'd rather keep Ghost and not sign Armia.

I thought about that, too. This was just an idea - not really thought about it in a longer scale.

You’d have to get rid of JVR, Armia, and probably Petry the following year just to get the cap to sign Patrick, Lindblom, and Myers.

Or Voracek.

People severely under estimate Voracek. Since Jan 1st, when the Flyers finally started getting their **** together, Voracek has a better pts/game than Marner, Matthews, McKinnon, Panarin.

Which equals higher trade value.

This is super interesting. I like the signings but am kinda unsure on that Habs trade.
