A lot of players sign contracts that end just before they become UFAs. Even if they have no intension of leaving. I'm not saying this will happen here.

That is true. This brings Carlo directly to ufa, without buying out any ufa years. That has never happened...ever

Lowkey confused by what you guys are saying. Both mcavoy and Carlo will have contracts that enable them to become RFA’s again. Sign them to the big money deals at that point. No need to do it now.

Well, hate to break it to you, but you’re low key wrong. Mcavoy can be signed to a 4 year deal and still be an rfa because he’s a 2 year rfa. He didn’t play 11 regular season games in his first year, so that is true of him. Carlo on the other hand, is a different story. A 4 year deal brings him directly to ufa, as it would for most guys coming off their entry deal.
