I just noticed that in the second and fourth years of Nick Jensen's new contract with Washington, that he will actually make more money if he's sent to the minors in those seasons than if he were on the NHL roster; effectively making the second and fourth years of his contract a "two-way contract". This seems very unusual, has anything like this ever happened before? Is it even correct? Not doubting the accuracy of this great site, it just seems so abnormal.
