The point of this ACGM was in response to someone saying no cap space would be had with point:

In a situation where COL trades the #1 Overall & a 2020 2nd pick to TBL for Brayden Point

wow this is an interesting trade idea.. as a Blues fan I would hate to see COL get Point. But Tampa has to move out 1 huge contract (Stamkos, Kuch, Hedmen, Point) or 2 big ones (Callahan, Palat, Johnson, Killorn, Miller). If moving point can land them Hughes I would think Tamps might actually do it, as well as COL.

I don't know much about Tampa and don't watch a lot of their games, BUT this seems like an over payment for me.

Sure he's playing well but this is his first real amazing season and he's playing on a team with Kucherov, Stamkos, etc. They are an all around dominant team and I wonder how much of that is boosting his points. I would like to see if this season is a fluke for Point or if this is the real thing.

Point for Hughes/Kakko if the lottery balls hit with sens pick...that really is an interesting idea. As an Avs fan I think I would be all about this move....sure the window starts bc of the cap hit you are starting to shell out for all your young stars so there is pressure to win now.

But Point is a hell of a player and if anyone is saying his numbers are inflated bc he plays on a stacked team or bc Stamkos/Kuch, they havent watched him play

I agree, i was looking into TBs cap situation and i dont see how they get out of it without moving a big time star, keep in mind Vas is up for an extension next season and you can bet that he thinks that Carry Price contract is looking pretty good right now. I think there is a huge case to be made that TBLs cap situation is 10x worse than TML.

TML have to make anywhere from 6-8m in cap space, while TBL will be looking to move around 12-18m between the next 2 seasons
