I doubt the Wild have any chance of signing this kid, but he sounds like the exact type of player I have been shopping for to add to the Wild's roster.
If anyone has any inside scoop and/or scouting reports on Justin Brazeau, I would like to hear them.

I wouldn't put too much stock into Brazeau bud. Yeah he's killing it in the OHL but he is a 6'6 overager playing against 5'9-5'10, 170 lbs dmen who are 16-17 years old most nights. He can dominate teens but i imagine his foot speed won't compete against NHL vets. There's a reason he went undrafted. He may be a late bloomer so its worth signing him up just in case but my instinct says he isn't as good as his numbers show. He is a man playing against boys so his numbers look good but most guys are playing in the AHL at his age. So personally I wouldn't put too much stock into this kid.

Well said. This is exactly it.

I watch a lot of OHL games and have seen him play live. And like you said, there is a reason why he went undrafted. His biggest flaw is his skating... He's a terrible skater... That being said, I am sure he gets a contract and plays 3+ years in the AHL. But teams most likely know at this point that they're not getting an NHL player out of Brazeau.

Thanks for the info! The Wild desperately need right-shot forwards...especially ones who can score so I hope they take a flyer on this kid...even though I did not see them mentioned as a team in hot pursuit.

Ya I can't say I have watched him play other than YT videos so I'm glad my inclination is confirmed but it isn't always the case for these overagers so you have to be careful not to write off anyone too early but yeah It is however more than likely as you said.

Would they say yes to Spurgeon for Gudas and their 2019 and 2020 1st round picks?

The Sens signed the OHL leading scorer last year in Aaron Luchuk. He's spend more time in the East coast than the AHL lol... really thought they were getting a player out of him.. Maybe he'll develop

Yeah a bunch of teams do this and sometimes it works out. TB did it with Alex Barre Boulet last year and he's producing at the AHL level but I'm still not holding my breath. The thing is though, TB has this knack of always finding the diamonds inthe rough like Gourde, T Johnson, Palat, etc. so I can't not take these players seriously. I there is one team that consistently turns those overager and undrafted players into good players, its Tampa.

Not both 1sts I'd say. Could probably add in a decent spec.

If you’re looking for right shot forwards who are still relatively young in the juniors, I have a few suggestions. Greg Meireles, Jeremy McKenna, and Nicolas Guay are good options. I’m going to say that McKenna is probably the best of those, he drives the Moncton offence as opposed to benefitting from others (Meireles) or feeding off others (Guay). He is pretty small though.
