Kreider can be traded but that's a steep price for one year rental. And that pick could certainly be in the mid teens.

I'm assuming Kreider would sign with Car. Would make sense for Carolina given their forward need.

Why do we need to get rid of Shattenkirk? I don't understand this line of thinking. He's not a shutdown guy or a big OFD. He's a quarterback working with almost nothing and just starting to find his game after being out so long with a bum knee. He's still a valuable player. I don't think he goes anywhere unless he asks to. Staal is also probably not going anywhere, for better or worse. Both of their contracts are up in 2 years anyway, so it's not like they're going to be a burden when we're trying to be relevant again.
