sooo 12 million in cap space left for nothing why are you buying out neilson. yeah hes overpaid but hes a legit 3rd line center and really an asset. abby I get to fit everyone else in but not neilson. You could move daley for a late rounder or keep him as a 6,7 defenseman. buy out ericsson hes a pile. I like lebanc though, ill take him

sorry, my fault
these are the picks from 2019, don't remember exactly which team they belonged to but some of them are Detroit's - briefly for 2019 Detroit has 1x1st, 3 2nds, 1rd rounder and so forth if I'm right
unfortunately 2019 picks are not displayed if you create new team for season 2019/20 and it wasn't my intention to choose the current season with plenty of contracts that will soon expire...

hi, this is my "dream" lineup where decided to put those players only which I'd like to see playing for Detroit next season, that said Nielsen&Abdelkader are out For Me
off course both have some value, could be on the roster but that wasn't my plan
Daley may play the role of 7th dman, its not written he can't - he&Ericsson can be hardly moved to other team I think
Ericsson may be a "pile" for some people though I put him in pairing with Green as suppose he's a better partner for him

I think Abs is over paid but at the start of the season the next Captain of Detroit was a 2 man race between Abs and Larkin. Fox Sports Detroit even had commercials where players were asked why they think makes Abs and Larkin a good leader. A lot of people don't think it means much and to a lot teams it doesn't. But Detroit has had 3 Captains since 1986 and they have no Captain now because they didn't want choose and have to change after a year or two. Plus at the start of the season there was talk that Z might try to play next season but I think that ship has sailed. So I think the Wings buying out Abs are very very unlikely. Now on to Neilson the Wing like him and he has been really good with the younger players. He knows he might be retired by the time the Wings become a contender and so far he is good with it.

Burying Daley and Helm we are talking about a coaching staff that would rather send Cholowski and Hronek to the minors instead of sitting Ericsson. If they can't do that I just can't see the coaching staff having the balls to bury any players.

If Svechnikov gets traded to Carolina it will be Carolina who requests the trade because they want him so he can play with his brother. That means a 2nd isn't enough for him.

Frk in a one trick pony he has a hard shot and it isn't very accurate. Detroit even said last season they wouldn't counter any offer sheets for Frk. Teams usually don't go out of their way to find him a spot on another team so he probably is a good guy. But if no-one wants him I'm pretty sure he will become a UFA this season.

With Trouba for Saarijärvi and a 2nd I like (The Jets would laugh and hang up) but if we have to give up this years 1st and 3rd. It is WAY TOO MUCH for Detroit to spend on a guy who is a free agent next season. The worst thing a rebuilding team can do is trade away prospects and picks and prospects too early because they want to speed it up.

Labanc for Hornek and a 2nd. Labanc had 40 points last year and that puts him at 180th and this year he has 49 points and he is at 92nd in points. Look at Detroit the forwards and defensemen in the system for Detroit. We have more promising forward prospects than we do promising defense prospects. So at least for Detroit Hronek is more valuable to Detroit than Labanc would be. Then giving this years 2nd rd pick which is going to be like a late 1st rd pick is kin of funny. I wouldn't make that trade straight up.
