Good trades, BUT I think Maroon want to stay in St Louis close to his family. I don´t like the Eberle signing, he has regressed a lot. I don´t like Gagner as a 3C, the centerdepth is terrible. THey need a 2-3 2 way C as a 3 C in this team.

Agreed, also I originally wanted to give Ebs a 4.25x2 prove it contract because he is going downhill and it's only been two years since he left so I doubt it would jump start his career a little again like Gagners. For Maroon he did say his families location was #1. But he said before he would be open to come back to Edm, and he is still really good friends with Connor and the team. So maybe he'd like to have one last hurrah there.

I think Edmonton should go after Hall (Impossible capwise, not impossible on the players wish I think), and even Yakupov before going after Eberle. Leave Eberle. He is done. Why do Ottawa give two picks? Ottawa have a cheap owner, they won't take Lucic for a smile or a meh prospect. Add your 2019 1st or Bouchard. Then Ottawa might take it. But there is no reason for Edmonton to do it. Best bet is to wait for the lockout and the possibility to buyout player such as Lucic, Neal, Alzner, Ladd, Zaitsev and more.

Do you understand that both teams need to accept a trade? Recently I talked to an Avs fan wanting to make a trade with the Oilers, but it wasn't a nice trade for Edmonton. I told him that Edmonton don't have a to make any trade if they don't want to and he didn't understand. It's the same thing here. Unless Melnyk is secretly an Oilers fan, which is possible who knows, he needs a reason to take Lucic. And that reason is likely more than what Edmonton wants to trade. So, the best bet is to A) buyout Lucic this summer but he has a buyout proof contract B) trade him for a more acceptable healthy cap dump or C) hope for a lockout.
