Imo ARI doesn't need Zaitsev. They already have 3 decent pairs, with OEL-Hjalmarsson, Demers-Goligoski and Oesterle-Chychrun. With Connauton and Lyubushkin as healthy scratches and prospects like Joseph coming to NHL in a year or two, Zaitsev seems pretty pointless for them.

Yup, seems about right. I think he would improve their D core very well on pairing with Chychrun or Goligoski but the trade idea of AHL player who plays well in AHL and pick seems about right for Zaitsev for you?

In a sense yes, but only if the said team has a clear slot for a player like Zaitsev, specifically either 2nd or 3rd pair D and some cap space left. Then it should be worth it for the team to move an AHL prospect for him.

I've made a post regarding Zaitsev.

That's a tough one, but I think Calgary would do it.

Hamonic brings an element Toronto has very little of and he is actually much better offensively than his numbers show. Where it hurts Calgary is that they also have very little toughness on their team. Guess they could always sign Coburn or Girardi though

Kapanen is tough as nails. He might not fight but he works hard in every part of rink, he likes to get under people's skin and him and Tkachuk would piss off so many people grin Hamonic is what I think of as an answer for right handed side in Toronto. He moves the puck well, he is tough, he is very good defensively as well as playing high minutes.
