Leafs just might go with two professional rookies with the Marlies next season. Woll and Scott. Might be a fast track to the NHL for both. As a backup and even Andersson is a UFA in summer of 2021.

Woll going with the "I know Boston College isn't getting selected for the frozen four" statement.
After the selection tonight there will be a lot of signings announced.

Hmm... giving a former 3rd Round pick the rookie max seems like an over payment, so par for the course for Dubas.

It's different for sure. But the reality is he still makes just 70,000 as a Marlie. No bonuses paid, so if he signed for let's say 700,000, he might have received bonuses

Hows this for Leafs goalie and blue line in 2021/20.....Lots of guys behind the blue line under 1m. Woll, Scott, Sandin, Raseman, Goodrev,

Im still hoping they can land Hutchinson for 2 x 925k next....the finnish kid doesnt seems to deliever, neither McAdam. Its funny how Finns are synonim for good goalies in my book, but TML just cant find the one to confirm my theory.

Yea, I could see a Hutchison type guy as a third goalie/coach. That's if you want both Woll and Scott with the Marlies, instead of one going to the ECHL. IMO I would rather have both rookies in Toronto, since the Leafs/Marlie goalie coach is here. McAdam and "the Finnish guys" were never considered NHLers. AHL at best and or maybe even ECHL. But the Leafs never thought they would lose both Mcillerney and Pickard in the the waiver draft. Considering everything and the Marlies slow start, they still have a shot to do OK in the AHL playoffs.

He didn't get the max, that was just a placeholder until they got the actual terms. See above.

Marlies will be young next year with quite a few more rookies coming in on the wing and d.

Toronto wants to win, I highly doubt they go with two unproven, unseasoned rookie goaltenders to tend for them. Not the smartest thing to do IMO

Smart move that he will burn a year of the ELC. Done so he and Scott don't expire at the same time. Interesting move, just hope he gets enough playing time where ever he ends up

It only burns a year if he plays more the 10 games. Thats why Hughes hasnt played in vancouver. Also it all these signings set us up better for the expan draft which people seem to be forgeting about.
