Leafs won't be trading a young top 6 forward with more potential to the Habs, nor the Habs trading a top 4D with up to 3-4 good years remaining to the Leafs

in what world?? we trade away a piece at its highest value in petry and he won't be are rd for the future and we get a 22 yr old finish 20 goal scorer for cheap price because of cap then we trade our future 4th liner in byron because if we keep him forever he will be on the 4th line who also can only net you a 2nd or 2 plus and ya danault is a hard piece to give up but you get ristolainen a who is a brilliant d man

everyone that I traded is on there way out eventually and the players that we are getting from them are young talents who will fit in quite well with the team our defense certainly gets much better and forwards possibly to give a real reason for why Montreal should make these trades or say nothing

it doesn't help just saying no for no particular reason

petry<=risto
Kappy>>danault
Zaitsev>Folin

and lose byron and fleury for that improvement is that not good?

Of course not it is just an idea none of the trades on here are really realisistic but value wise I think it is good and fits both teams needs

Inter division trading at it’s finest lol. It’s too bad because your ideas are not bad. Zaitsev isn’t as Horrible as his current value in this site. I see you atleast have him a smidge of value here. I just think that for the leafs it’s just not worth kapanen to upgrade to petry. With the retained salary and the idea to send a left wing (which is the thinnest position on the leafs forward roster) it looks well thought out. Value is very close too.

Don't get me wrong, the value is good for both teams considering the salary dump, but I'm just saying it's one of those ideas that won't reach both GM's because of the longtime rival status
