Apparently he will join the Habs immediately, and may even see some ice time this season. Habs have some very high end young players coming up, exciting to see
I'm just happy he won't play 11 games and be elligible for Seattle expansion....
Are you sure only season games count toward this?
In 2014-15, Sam Bennett was called up after his junior team was eliminated and played 1 season game and 11 playoff games for the Flames, the 1st year of his ELC was burned.
Maybe playoff games will also count toward making him available for the expansion, that is , if Habs make them

It's 11 games. Playoff games count as well. However, Habs aren't going to make the playoffs, so it doesn't matter.
he scored 6 less goals. I hardly call that keeping the "same production."
His game went backwards a bit this year. SCS early exit from the frozen four is a good example of that. Where was he?
He spent the entire year playing with his Brothers who have no-where near the same amount of talent as him. The fact you are asking me where he was shows that you have no idea what you are talking about. Let me tell you, he took a large step forward this year.

no he didn't, the fact that you don't realize he didn't do much in that game goes to show it. He was no where on the score sheet. He got in a few shots but most of them where not high danger or even good shots.
You can keep coming with excuses. But the production wasn't there. He took a step back this year. He needs to be in a better hockey environment next year to actually grow as a player. Which is why he's signed.

He was injured only missed a few games and was on the mend but missed the elimination games. Its hard to gauge exactly where he was as his production stagnated but he played a much more complete game apparently, taking on the toughest matchups etc.

Are you serious? HAHAHAH
You can ask anybody who watched him play. The only problem with his line was that his teammates couldn't finish. He's not a goal scorer and therefore isn't expected to score. What are you making those claims with? do you have anything to back up those facts or are you just trying to justify your comments?
I shouldn't even be talking about this with you because it's clear you are just trolling.

you clearly didn't watch any games and know nothing about the player. He is a goal scorer. It has nothing to do with his line mates.

he was already taking on the tough matchups. The "complete" game this is what people use as an excuse when a player isn't really progressing. There should have been more out of him this year, there wasn't. Especially in the playoffs. You can't just disappear. He took 7 shots in that game, but most were weak no chance of scoring. He needed to do more than that. He didn't. There are a lot of players playing dinged up so that's not really an excuse. He'll have the same issues at the NHL level come playoff time. If you are going to lace up you need to perform.
I'm not knocking the kid, he's got talent. It was a good signing. He needs a better hockey environment to grow. He'll get that now.
