Description

As much as I want to tank to get a top 5 pick, I also don't want to throw the young guys (the d-men in particular into the fire, hence why I traded for Stralman and Martinez).

Also note that Stralman and Simmonds have both won Stanley Cups, which can only help the younger players.

The two salary dump trades I would like feedback on. Gave up too much? Not enough?

Sadly I don't think anyone is signing with Ottawa in FA lol. No one of impact I mean. Maybe they get sold on the kids, but with an owner like this, if a player doesn't have to play for them, they won't... I wouldn't. Edit: I would love either Stralman or Myers but it seems so unlikely haha.
LA probably isn't trading their 2nd best Dman for just a 2nd.

Zetterberg is on LTIR and not costing Detroit any cap space so there is absolutely no reason to trade him. Detroit has no room at D unless you want to take Daley or Ericsson back with you. I like Harper but he is not worth a 2nd and 5th.
