Philly Needs a GoalieRHD and LW

Created by: MNBassman
Team: 2019-20 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 1, 2019
Published: Apr. 1, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I cannot imagine Philly not wanting to try to win now with the prime years of Giroux and Voracek slipping away.
From my perspective (correct me if I'm wrong) Talbot has zero trade value other than cap relief in this trade. He is nothing but a stop-gap, one year goalie for the Wild while they figure out a long-term goalie plan.
As with most of my Wild ideas, this is intended as a way to take a step back now, to take 2 or 3 steps forward in the near future.
Mrazek can be any goalie the Wild think can play 40+ games as a stop gap netminder.
IMO, the Wild are overpaying here - what says you?

Trades
MIN
  1. Gudas, Radko
  2. MacDonald, Andrew
  3. Patrick, Nolan
  4. 2019 1st round pick (PHI)
  5. 2020 2nd round pick (PHI)
Additional Details:
Flyers give up some serious futures, but add an elite #1 RHD (assume he will resign for this scenario), a dependable goalie, and a top 6 LW to add scoring depth.
PHI
  1. Dubnyk, Devan
  2. Spurgeon, Jared
  3. Zucker, Jason
Additional Details:
MacDonald is a cap dump, nothing more. Gudas is somewhat of a cap dump, but will play for the Wild.
This trade is 100% about the Wild getting futures.
Wild will (hopefully) draft RW/C Cole Caufield with the Flyers' 1st, or package it to move into the top 5.

I know, but is he ready to play 50+ games in the NHL? If so, disregard...but I thought Dubnyk might make for a very nice goalie tandem...and he's not very expensive either.

Fair enough. What would your offer for Spurgeon and Zucker be? I want your 2019 1st.

Well, because Spurgeon only has 1 year left, is 29 and will likely want a raise, I don't really want him. I feel like we could get a younger D man for giving up our 1st. For Zucker, we could do the 1st but we would need a pick back. The Flyers scout team is very good and having a 10-15 pick could turn into a very good player for us. I feel like we could just go sign Dzingel, who is equal to Zucker, and not give up anything.

flyers do have cap space, so they might be looking at ufa, instead of trading for help, and giving up futures. I look at the teams that need cap relief next season, and modest veteran such as perrault might be had at a very small price.
