That's an interesting deal with Montreal, and I think they accept it.

I think there needs to be more going to the leafs in that deal, but they all seem decent and make sense.

Mtl makes that trade but Idk if Minny does. Juulsen is back at non-contact practice with Laval this week which is huge and I'm ecstatic for him but his vision is still a big question mark.

My only worry is that trading both Brodin and Spurgeon is a huge hit to our blue line. I'm fine trading one of them, but I'm not sold on the idea of Seeler on the 2nd pairing. Brodin has had a fantastic year and his contract is looking like a bargain. I get he's not physical, but he does everything else very well on the defensive end.

Also I like the Arizona trade even though you said Arizona was a place holder. I'm cheering for the Coyotes but I don't think they're built to go far in the playoffs if they make it which means that pick will likely be in the 14-20 range.

Given where MTL is and Minny is, I think both teams would make good trading partners for Brodin. I think the Habs could include a little extra to be honest. Juulsens latest injury was a major kick to his development.

I'd be OK with trading both. Not ideal, but with sights set on 2-3 years from now, I would do it. That would give Fenton and Co. plenty of time to figure something else out if Seeler/Hunt/Belpidio/whomever can't cut it.
