Honestly I’d do that.. we’d need to move some salary somewhere though

Probably be able to move Palat, and J.T. Miller in the deal.

Erne, Gourde, Palat, Miller, and a 2 first rounds picks, and a 2nd added on for insurance. Would that be satisfying? I was going to add in McDonagh, but that isn't really going to happen. Highly doubt McDonagh waives his NTC.

EDM would require top talent in exchange for McDavid. Like Point for instance. These assets you've noted are good TOP6 players, but not top talent.

Did something like this the other day for a joke, the funny thing is Tampa is probably better with Point Serg and Tony than they are with McDavid lol. For the sake of the joke though if you could make it happen without moving Cirelli that would be a huge bonus; for those of you who aren't tampa fans or who don't watch them on a regular basis he is probably their most underrated player, fits perfectly in the 3C slot, great two way, excellent penalty killer, can match up with the other teams top line on d and has the offense and speed to burn to go with all of that. Literally so high on this kid definitely think he is a huge building block for this team that they will try and hold onto for years to come, amazing talent.

I think Cirelli has to be part of the deal. He brings a lot to the table, Palat brings 3rd line depth now.

That's why I think it's better holding onto 3 studs than give them up for McDavid.

Top Talent would be in the picks in a couple deep drafts, and you get JT Miller great winger, Palat who is still pretty good, Erne is decent too, Gourde is a beast 60+ Points per season. I would say this could be a great deal to be made.

It's pretty good. Think TB needs to add a prospect, since pretty much all of their picks are going to be relatively low because their team is so OP lol.

I mean if they aren't getting Point or Serg back in a McDavid trade then it's hilarious. JT Miller is a 2nd liner, Gourde is probably a 2nd liner, Palat is solid. Erne is fine. Top talent is still a 20s 1st rounder? I mean for McDavid that's silly. I wouldn't take that trade for Tarasenko let alone McDavid.

Point, Sergachev, Palat, 2 1sts. Edmonton gets a 23 year 90 point first line center nowhere near his prime yet, a electrifying young dman with Norris potential, an experienced veteran winger for depth and 50-65ish point potential in a top 6 role when healthy, and 2 unprotected 1sts. Even this package seems like its too much lol Point is so good.

TB picks are relatively low. They seldom turn out to become great players. Especially in a team like EDM that f*cks up with all their picks.

And players like Miller, Gourde and Palat flourish in a team like TB, because everything works there almost perfectly. There's a potential chance that all of those players's numbers get lowered by half of what they are now, because EDM sucks so much. This shouldn't be an issue with top talent like Point.

Gourde averages 60 Points per season. I am meaning under the right circumstances. Yes Point would be in the deal, but if it is under the circumstances of what Hedman77 is talking about I think they lower the price, but I agree normally it would be Point. I think Point is close enough to McDavid that it probably won't cost much more than that to be real honest.
