you wont get a chance to say no winnipeg would laugh and walk away. Trouba is a top 2 right handed defenceman that will be rfa. Yes he has money and contract issues but for that return winnipeg would rather deal him elsewhere.

Don't make replies like this if you have no idea what you're talking about. Pilut and Samuelsson (high 2nd round pick) both have top 4 potential and are very young, Rodrigues is a good 3rd line winger, plus most likely a high first first rounder... for Trouba??? Winnipeg would fleece Buffalo in this trade. Do some homework before making these replies

pilut is a 6th defencemen at best currently with a ceiling of top 4, samull

pilut is a 6th defencemen with a ceiling of top 4 at best, Samuelsson is a top 9 forward projected who has had an awful first year in the ncaa which diminishes his value, rodridguez is a 3rd/4th liner most likely 4th line on any good team. the 1st is most likely 20-26 range on a weaker draft than last year. So Yes i think winnipeg passes easily on that offer.

Samuelsson is a D prospect (5G, 7A, 37PIM, +3 in 35 games). Not disagreeing with the thread, but I think the deal is close. A 2020 1st instead of SJ 2019 1st might get it done. As a Sabres fan I would not be interested in losing Pilut and Samuelsson.

LOL. You just exposed yourself. Pilut projects as a top 4 D-man easily (and he has the advance stats to back up that claim). Samuelsson is a D-man buddy (maybe you watched him help USA to the silver at world juniors this year?) ERod is probably there only good depth forward who can play anywhere from the 1st line to the 4th line. Oh and we haven't even mentioned the first round pick.

All that for a cap dump (DK) and Trouba (who is solid no doubt) and his continually outrageous contract demands.

    Yeah....Buffalo passes.

exposed myself for checking out the players and what they look like? Im a rangers fan i take no part in favoring a side other than exposing a bad deal when i see one. Ceiling and projects have the same conclusion i dont know if you knew that? Rodriguez would never touch a 2nd line on a good team and that much is evident, also a late first have a 50% chance of making it in the nhl as a player over that last decade. Now that doesnt mean a good player that also means a 4th line or 3rd d pair who doesnt progress that point. Trouba does have outrageous contract demands but for his age and skill locking him up this year for mid-long term is crucial and he still has full value as he is a RFA not a ufa.

You exposed yourself by making claims that are flat out incorrect.

    1. Samuelsson is a D-man not a forward (tbh the rest of your opinions hold no weight after not even being able to get this simple point correct IMO)

    2. You declared Pilut a 6th d-man "at best" (your opinion. But the numbers certainly suggest he'll be more then that: 26 points in 28 games in the AHL and 6 points in 31 games in the NHL as a ROOKIE...not even mentioning his fantastic advance stats)

Erod is a depth forward and a good depth forward (but not what I was focusing in on this trade)...as a stated in my previous post. I also pointed out his ability to play up and down the lineup if need be. But sure I agree he's best suited as a 3rd or 4th liner.

And it various from year to year but a 1st round pick has roughly a 63% chance of making it to the show (sorry, you're wrong again)

Lol a couple potential average 4-6 D, a dime a dozen 3rd line winger, and a late 1st round pick isn't enticing in the least for a top pairing RHD in his prime. Get a clue.

I said Samuelsson has had a disappointing first year that does not change. Pilut is at best a 6th CURRENTLY READ CAREFULLY. I would advise to stop attempting to put words in other peoples mouthes and when caught to continue using the same points which have been disproved. I may have been wrong on the 1st round. I read an article a month or so back about the odds of getting an impactful player from the 1st round and they were stated around 50% but i cannot find it currently so we will go with your number as i also agree around that area.

I literally didn't put words in your mouth. You literally typed those exact words sooooooo ya. It's fine, because this augment is irrelevant. The sabres will have to pay mitts, dahlin and Reinhart all in 1-2 years so they are not trading for Trouba and whatever his next exorbitant contract may be.

Also, I'm pretty sure I read Trouba wants no part in going to buffalo (can't say I blame him).

That garbage doesn't get you Trouba, No way Winnipeg deals Trouba without Ristolainen going to Winnipeg at least. And fat chance of Trouba signing in Buffalo. When he wants to go home to Detroit.
