WPG trade

Description
Just the groundworks. I know the Jets are gonna be in a cap crunch, so i would like some input from Jets fans. Would you part ways with someone like Copp? Leddy would be a replacement for Myers and Hickey or maybe Pelech could slot in to your D-core. Dal Colle would provide some cheap depth behind your big boys. Roslovic is a great prospect and from what I read, a guy you're pretty high on. If not Roslovic then maybe someone like Appleton? Kulikov is just a cap dump.

The trade could probably be balanced out for cap reasons with someone like Perreault?

Too much money for copp, I think he’s under rated and important jet, roslovic being groomed for big things and hope to be relatively cheap for cap crunch, jets more likely to replace talent from in and ride out kulikov contract, but definite interest in regaining a first rounder this year or a early second. So instead of a deal I could see a bargain hunt free agent and possibly a deal to get into first but nothing major

This doesn't feel like a good trade for NYI at all. Not so sure of Roslovic's upside and Copp as our 3C answer. Copp might be a decent
bottom 6 winger or 4C if we wanted to move Cizikas to a 3C role. Jets definitely will
need LD and to shed some cap space for next year signing Laine and Connor. I say Leddy/Hickey/Dal Colle and our 1st if necessary for
Ehlers to fill Eberle's spot/Perrault as a 3C option, and I guess we pick up a year of Kulikov who's severly overpaid and use him as a 6/7
defense man with Aho trading that space.

I think Roslovic is unmoveable. But both Copp and Appleton definitely are, especially if you are including one of Kulikov or Perreault as cap dumps which you did.

You are really overpaying Copp. Not sure how many years you signed him for (it's not showing up for me), but around 2 is the number he'd get.

If you get rid of Roslovic and replace with Appleton, you'd have to rework the draft picks going both ways but the trade value is definitely close/realistic.
