Ideal offseason

Created by: shmoeman
Team: 2019-20 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 5, 2019
Published: Apr. 5, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
McAvoy contract- Best comparable is Matt Dumba. Last year (he was 23) and got 5 years at 6 mill per. Mcavoy for 7 years will make him 28 when it expires (same age as Dumba) 6.5-7 should be good for him

Carlo contract- should be pretty damn close to the Pesce deal, 6 years at just over 4 mil

Heinen contract- similar to Wood, Bjorkstrand etc

Miller trade- younger and better than Mcquiad, should boast a bit more. With Clifton looking more and more NHL ready, there isn't a need for Miller as hes a UFA to be

Acciari isnt needed, Frederic can easily step in as 4C

I think Coyle could be a really good fit with Bergy and Marchy, big PWF with good offensive and defensive instincts. obviously pasta and heinen are good alternatives there just isnt a real 3LW on the roster aside from Heinen

Backes trade- Backes gets bought out by Ottawa and resigns with BOS for close to league minimum. This helps get ottawa to the league floor and hes worth minimal real $ over those years. Zboril played really well with chabot in juniors so it may be worth it to pair the two again.

Also room to sign a solid free agent, maybe Dzingle or eberle, kids should also be able to get the job done

I'm with you on a lot of stuff, but a few things I'm not so sure about.
1. I agree that there is a significant possibility that the bruins will be able to rid themselves of backes through some avenue. I just don't think a trade to Ottawa is logical.
2. Let's pump the brakes on Senyshyn. Good for him for getting an empty netter and not looking completely lost, but he's been pretty devoid of success at the AHL level, and I'm certainly not pencilling him into the lineup.
3. I don't see the point in trading Miller.
4. I think Cehlarik is at the very least on the roster next year.
5. Acciari is awesome.
