Lots of talk about this kid, but when he came in for prospect camps he looked undersized and out matched.
He'll definitely spend the 1st year in the AHL, I'm not sure he'll ever get past that level of play.

18 year old season in juniors this past season with the Hurricanes. He will be with the Hurricanes for his 19 year old season. Penguins just locking up a decent prospect for the long haul. Won't be in the AHL for a couple of years. Ummm few years away from a few years away wink

Yes he will return but only for a year. But if you watched him playing for WBS this year you would know what I'm talking about. I'm hoping they play him more games to compare but it didn't look good. The competition level is much greater in the AHL so it's a much better comparison to where he is really at. I think there are 3 games left this season. So they have a chance to play some of these younger guys.
But between these AHL games and the prospect camp, being able to compare his play to other players trying to go/are pro. There is a huge gap. He's a long ways away.
