Don't trade Suzuki, kid's a stud and will be a 60pts+ per year winger in the NHL

Montreal is not going to trade Suzuki for Spurgeon. Rather draft a defensemen with that 2nd round pick and hope to get a Spurgeon like player out of it.

first buddy hes a natural C, projected to play the wing..... also lets compare some 60 points wingers
    Mike Hoffman
    Evgenii Dadonov
    Vladimir Tarasenko
    Timo Meier
    Jakub Voracek
    Joe Pavelski
    Kyle Connor
    Sam Reinhart
    Jeff Skinner
    Zach Parise

i really dont think hes going to be any close to any of these players...... so 60+plus thats laughable and very optimistic.... plus trading a "potential 60point+" player vs a established D that can score 40+points and the habs are more in a win now situation win price and Weber in their 30's.... plus there is a risk that he flops thats why you offera late 2nd as compensation....

You obviously hope to draft a guy like him for sure but there is like a 2-3year you have to wait before the young D develops into a stud.... Spurgeon is such an underated D he quick mobile and can control our PP with a mean clapper and sick hand eye coordination and you also dont even touch your current roster and add a valuable D

Value is fair but targets are wrong. Lehk for Burakovsky is reasonable but you're taking a chance with locker room chemistry as Lehk is well liked and battles hard. Also you'd hope that if the Habs were moving out 2 assets like Suzuki and a 2nd it'd be for a lefty to play with Petry.

Your absoulutely right finally makes sense however I believe you can play 2 rhd together and the locker room chemistry true it’s a risk but you adress a need with a shooter in burakovsky
