I think the Blues have enough depth players that they wouldn’t want Jenner. I also don’t think they’d be keen on not picking until the 80s

Sabres aren't going to give up a second for each goal Wennberg scored, drop the picks and its a maybe, but that contract is terrible and the Sabres already have a bad contract

Why do you absolutely want to get rid of him for the flop that Murray is.... I mean, let's give Drouin at least another year before we trade him... It's not like he was getting paid 9 millions per year... It'S 5,5m and for a guy reaching 60pts per year, that is a really solid contract (also considering is age). In his first 60-65 games, he had 50 points and I don't know if you're great in math (I don't think so), but that means a season of 65-70 points on 82 games... He had quite a though 20 games after that, but since the last 5 games, he was pretty solid while being involved defensively. MB would look dumb to trade him after only 2 seasons, especially for that return.

I agree 100%. People are giving him **** even though he produced 50 PTs while making 5.5 Million. He is playing great, too bad our fans are to stupid to realize.

I think it's partly because of expectations. If a player like Danault, a middle-6 C that's considered to be more of a defensive player scores almost the same amount of points, one can think Drouin's statistics as a bit of a disappointment.

It's because the expectations are ridiculous. People expect Drouin to come in here and put up a PPG. He is only making 5.5 Million so he is getting paid for what he is producing.

That's generally what is expected from a TOP3 Draft pick with a reputation as a skilled player...

He is making 5.5 Million. People need to lower their expectations. If he was earning what a PPG player makes, then I could see it. but it's not.

To be fair, Galchenyuk was in a similar position. TOP3 pick, didn't score as expected, and got traded. Only difference is that Drouin was not drafted by Montreal.

I would not be surprised at all if he gets traded for the same reason.

I can see where you are coming from, however Galchenyuk didn't play defense and gave the puck away every time he got it. While Drouin has been similar to that, atleast he started to play defense when his offense went away.

If the goal was to make us worse then you did that.... nice job..... all of none of trades are getting accepted.... either Columbus wouldn’t make them or the other team declined....

Ok then. They must do something though. If Panarin and Bobrovsky leaves, I certainly wouldn't re-sign Duchene, because that would mean sending your first to OTT and CBJ most likely will be out of playoffs next year because their core is really...lacking. Would mean losing a high pick.

Exactly. Duchene isn’t the guy who’s going to fix everything and maybe we don’t need to do something. It’s a solid team that just needs someone to step up. Maybe go after someone like Skinner in Free agency or go after someone like Pirri who could potentially have a break out season. I don’t think someone like Drouin would do very good in Columbus with torts as the coach and he’d just get screamed at all year and want to be traded making his value less then it already is. Also Trading Bjorkstrand now would be ludicrous.... he’s finally hitting his stride and showing why we drafted him in the first place and he look to be playing much better even on the third line with Jenner and the other wing(Texier/Wennberg(who everyone thinks is a cap dump now for some reason)). So yeah maybe putting other players into higher roles and giving them more ice time is the best thing to do and not go out and make 1/3 of the roster different screwing with the team chemistry.

well if Drouin would of showed up the last 20 games and reached 65-75 points like Domi did Montreal would of made the playoffs and would of been a serious contender, he played pretty good all season up untill the end of the season would barely deserved to even be on the 4th line, he's gonna need to bounce back or his time in Montreal could be short
