Borgman is as good and as physical as Benning and cheaper, they aren’t gonna trade Nylander so ppl should move on from that

ive made tons of these and usually I give up Johnsson and Brown and the Improve from within by Calling up Sandin/Liljegren and Bracco, I usually keep Zaitsev because I want to see if he can regain what he had when playing with rielly and because it’s always a huge debate of how much dumping him should cost

First the premise that Zaitsev is 1.5m value is kinda silly. A player that plays as many heavy minutes as Zaitsev does is not a bad player. Again there seems to be this illusion that all Leaf Dmen are poor.
The lineup...you really think Woll is NHL ready? Liljegren probably isn't NHL ready.
My suggestion and it's largely for cap reasons is to keep Zaitsev, namely because he is a difficult trade mostly due the length of his contract. Now the Leafs need cap space...about 6m or more.
So trade Nylander for futures. Maybe trade Nylander and picks and RHD Trevor VR and his one year contract. Now TVR is a marginal NHLer but in the CapFriendly world, any RHD being traded to the Leafs is a Norris candidate.

You say trade happens at the draft, but no one is taking Nylander until after his massive bonus is paid on July 1st. I don't see this trade happening with what you have in it. No way the Leafs are giving up three picks. You trade Z and a pick in a separate trade for a worse pick. Carolina doesn't need Z, they have lots of RD and some good prospects. I would rather see a trade centered around Nylander for Parayko or Kappy for Pesce. There would be other parts involved, not 1 for 1.

Any request for Parayko from Toronto starts with Sandin, Nylander, an additional prospect, AND a first. Blues simply have no reason to move a top 3 RHD who logs minutes, kills PPs, rarely lets anyone beat him, and can score a little too. Leafs would have to do a major overpay to get Colt55. Now Pietrangelo you can have for Lilly and a 1st.

Well I woulda said Nylander and the 1st = Hamilton, not sure Car has the interest in Zaitsev but they do have the cap space and are getting a 3rd so on second thought it is pretty fair.
