As much as I don’t like the Matthews trade I also like it... it works for both teams, Columbus gets their elite number 1 center and Toronto gets their elite number 1 RHD....

Hate to see Bracco go in the Marleau deal.
Trade Nylander for Connor, since I can't see ANA making that deal straight up.
If TOR is close to the CAP, why can't CAR just give KK an offer sheet and keep Pesce?
Giving KK an offer sheet of $4m or less only costs one first, one second and one third (which is what is proposed to get Connor, instead of the four 1st round picks for an $8M contract).

Connor is an offer sheet. How will WPG match?
Matthews = Jones+Dubois in my mind
Nylander=Rakell but Nylander is 3 years younger and kick starts Anaheim's rebuild.
I agree with the Pesce deal although just a bit - maybe a 2nd instead of a 3rd.

You have seen all detail every build on here, trouba, Myers pearrault, kulikov, Hayes all ending up in different places for different reasons. Jets not letting ehlers, Conner, or laine go without a severe overpay. A late 1st a late second and a late third not going to do it

Colombus rebuild starts with Dubois and Jones too, If all the ufas walk so I doubt they pull the trigger on that one either

Matthews is the best player of the 3 and he's the same draft year as Dubois.

Not arguing that, just the price on Dubois and jones, probably still leaves room for 2 to 3 million dollar player and colombus probably doesn’t keep Mathews happy for the duration of his deal, and jones and Dubois seem happy to be there guys. IMO obviously
