All rich Russians own house in SoFlo, so what? Buying house makes him an investor, not a Panther.

That's not true, Ovechkin doesn't have a house in Florida... Where's your source he doesn't want to play for Q? And where's your source saying he wants to play for a hockey town? Also Florida is a pretty attractive team if you think about it. Barkov is a studly center to play with, they have some nice pieces in Huberdeau, Trocheck, Ekblad, Dadonov, and a bunch of good prospects. Weather is always nice there, plus Miami is a big city with tons to do.

I actually saw Ovi couple of times this summer here in Miami. So I don't know if your statement is accurate, he might have a house, or he might have been visiting other current NHLers or former NHLers like Malakhov etc....dont know, I didn't ask him, didn't want to be creepy smile

I've heard some interviews he gave in russian language, which I'm fluent in. He wants to be recognized and loved, similar to what he had in Chicago and money is not his #1 goal. We will see, but I think he could be coming back to Chi for a reasonable price. like 8-9M

I'm not saying FL is bad team, just not for his ambitions. Hope I'm wrong, cause I woldn't mind him playing here.

Lol Panarin loved playing for Q, plus his best friend Dadonov is there. Panarin’s agent has also stated the Florida is one of his preferred destinations. Much bigger chance than most people think.

No confirmed reports saying Ovi has a house there, but he has been confirmed to have practiced in Florida's rink on vacation. Doesn't mean he has a house though. Do you have to link to the interview? The Wild's beat writer (Michael Russo) who used to be the Panthers beat writer said he thinks Panarin and Bob to Florida is a done deal. He talks with league sources all the time and doesn't say stuff like that unless he knows something, so I'd say there's a good shot he ends up there.

Edit: Here's my source for Russo's quote. On his podcast that came out today. Quote is around 11:40. For context, he's talking about how ridiculous the idea of the Wild getting Panarin is and drops his quote about Panarin and Bob going to Miami.

Panarin loved playing with Kane, Q had little to do with it. I'm sure Panarin's trade for Saad had something to do with Q's dissatisfaction with Panarin's defensive play and low playoff production. Q likes his games tight on D with low tolerances for errors. All young prospects hate playing for Q, he doesn't let anyone develop, one mistake you are out. One of the major reasons Q got fired is because CHI is heavy on young talent, especially Dman, whom would have not seen a light of day playing under him. I liked Q, but he can be too much for young team. I think FL is mature enough for him to make some good strides.
