What would Ottawa have to give you for Risto? Would you do 1 for 1 with Ceci. Both need a reset

Scandella will fit in nicely as a 2nd or 3rd pairing LHD and is entering the last year of his deal. Good luck finding free agent options who can play who will accept a 1 year deal

Why would we take on a bad contract and pay for it though? There are tons of 5/6 defensemen who could be had at near league minimum. He wouldn't be better than Mete or Benn or Kulak IMO.

Absolutely not. Ceci has always been bad, Risto has had a tough season but still got 40 points. I don't think Risto is being moved anywhere unless we are acquiring a great top 6 forward.
