You're going to HATE that Bob contract by year 4.

Go find a goalie who signed a big UFA contract after 30 and see if you'd even want them as a starter by year 4 let alone as a super high paid starter.

Doubt both Bobrovsky and Panarin get the exact same contract, Bobrovsky 7 x 9.5 and Panarin 7 x 10.5 more or less.

Lundqvist? Price?

Price is in the first year of his new contract (not year 4). Last year he was one of the worst starting goalies in the league. This year he was slightly above average. Get back to me in 3 years.

Last year was Lundy's fourth on his contract and this year his 5th. Last year he was the highest paid goaltender in the league and about a league average one, this year he is second highest paid (to Price) and was bottom third of starting goaltenders.

And both those players re-upped with their current teams.

The only goalie currently in the league who has been a top goalie and sustained success past 34 is ironically Luongo.
