Probably only way we can dump Johnson, but having his cap for 4 more years is just painful

More for kessel man. Especially if you’re moving him inside the metro. Pens don’t have to retain on EG. He’s been our best defensemen sadly lol. I would not trade Schultz either.
Dumo-Letang
Good top 4 LHD - Schultz
Petterson- Gubranson

Is our ideal top 6 for next season

I don't want to judge too much Pittsburgh since they won two cups in the last 3, but in the last four years, you traded four first round picks for : Ryan Reaves, Derick Brassard, Phil Kessel and Davis Perron. How could you not think there would be a backlash from all this ? You guys need to stop be buyers at the deadline and pile up some first round picks for ***sake ! Still, I send you love and respect since my team is eliminated.

Kessel is in his 30's and will regress even further, Pens would be lucky to get something even in that range.

If the Pens want to get rid of Gudbranson without adding a high pick or prospect, they'll need to retain, the "he's been the best defenseman" argument doesn't hold up as it's too small of a sample to bank on.

Schultz has 1 year left on his contract, there are teams that are looking for defensive depth, Pens should take advantage of that.

Kessel over his last 3 seasons:

71 points
92 points
82 points
He never misses a game and is signed to a great contract. Pens are gonna want AT LEAST a first plus very good young forward on the cusp of a breakout. They need a Guzental #2 and the best way to get a good young player like that is through a kessel Trade.
I get the Gubranson sample size is small, but I’d rather keep him then trade him retained. Pens need Defense and he’s been surprisingly good. Him and petterson make a very good bottom pairing. I think pens could get late first for Schultz. Injuries hurt his value but he’s still a very good puck moving D capable of getting 50+ points. But once again, pens NEED D so moving Schultz only hurts us

I see what you are saying but they can’t while Crosby and malkin are still playing. You have to try and win as much cups as possible because you never know when their next will be. Pens are in a interesting situation here. I’m intrigued to see how gmjr reacts this summer

You spend a lot of time on here making unsupported negative comments on other people's teams...no real feedback/explanations, just a negative statements...just look at your history of comments. Maybe if you get the same treatment back you'll change your behavior; sometimes dumbing it down to the other person's level gets them to wakeup to their behavior. smile

"unsupported negative comments on other people's teams...no real feedback/explanations, just a negative statements" that's 95% of users on this site, have you not realized that yet? Even you fall into this category

I provide a lot of feedback if I feel the person will listen to it.

You're not one of those people. You're a stubborn old ****.
