With the potential for a large amount of high quality UFAs, I don't think Tanev and Nemeth are what the hawks are planning. It's going to be much bigger than that.

Tanev is exactly the industrious type of forward the Hawks need, he’d be a solid addition to the bottom 6.

Hawks are full of bottom 6 forwards. Why pay 3 million for one? Spend money on the bigger names. That's a 9 million dollar 4th line.

Because he’s significantly better than the rest of the bottom 6 (assuming Saad is top 6). The Hawks need to improve the PK, the existing bottom 6 didn’t cut it and Tanev was great for the Jet’s PK.
