So I'm guessing Columbus wouldn't be keen to make the trade in reality, but what would need to be added to make the value add up theoretically? I'm guessing picks/prospects. Columbus, Colorado or neutral fans.....opinions?

Ottawa’s 1st and your 1st. We don’t need a rhd and Anderson is part of the untouchables from Columbus.

I don't like this deal from the Avs perspective. Jenner and Anderson arent bad but I would rather get 1 good forward instead of a couple decent ones

Not a hope then lol. I can understand Columbus fans not wanting to lose Anderson but I very much doubt he's untouchable. Nor are those two players worth that in a trade. But thanks for the input.

I dunno, I'd rather spread the scoring around. One 'good' forward won't help us build a second line that can threaten a little. I think Anderson for sure could be a really good acquisition and still has a lot of untapped potential. I feel that Barrie is going to go sooner rather than later so I'd rather sell whilst his value is high. Thanks for the input though. smile

It’s more of a fact that we don’t want to lose either of them and the fact that Barrie isn’t needed in Columbus with Jones and Savard, maybe a 3 way trade with Toronto would be the best where we end up with Kapanen or something in return.

Good idea. I think three way trades are going to become more common in the future, and I appreciate Barrie may not be needed in Columbus (though very few teams can honestly say they can't use a 50 point attacking D, Columbus are probably one of the few with Jones). I can understand not wanting to lose either of Anderson or Jenner. Same reason as I as an Avs fan would want them. wink

hahahaha you think the 4th overall, and another top 20 draft pick is the value there.....talk about delusional

Jenner is a 35-40 point guy and nothing special. Anderson is solid but the value associated with Top picks, the 4th overall holds more value

It’s the fact that we don’t want to move either player and you have to gave to make it so that they’re want to move said players and the fact that Barrie has no room in our roster means his value goes. Yes I way over did it, but it’s not a move either team is going to make. Value is determined by who’s trading and how bad you want something and how bad the other doesn’t want to give them up.
