If Tampa wants to trade him .. he will waive for a mutually agreeable team .. that how NTCs work for "stars" .. people here think NTCs are set in stone .. they are not .. there are part of negotiation process .. what going on in NFL is exactly case in NHL .
Leverage for "stars" .. still think Toronto is LOGICAL Stamkos place

No one said NTC’s are set in stone. Only thing set in stone is that stamkos will not waive it for his prime years to be spent in the worst organization in the NHL right now.

You guys are severely overreacting. Stamkos is still one of the top players in the league....and sometimes addition by subtraction does not work as well as people think as Buffalo fans found out with Ryan O'Reilly. Quite honestly, I think everyone in the hockey world, fans, media, and players, as well as the lightning players and coaching staff severely underestimated the Blue Jackets. What the Blue Jackets really needed was time for players like Duchene, Dzingel and Texier to settle in, and they've gotten the goaltending from Bobrovsky when its been mattering most. Not to mention, Columbus is very physical, gritty team, coached by a guy who loves this style of play and knows how to motivate his players.....they are the kind of team that can fight their way through a series and make it tough and painful on a team. Columbus actually has a very good lineup with Duchene and Texier, and god forbid if Dzingel can get going, they can potentially put out three to even four solid lines against TB, their depth upfront is underrated.

But Tampa is learning a valuable lesson of adversity all champions need to learn. If they come back from this, they will grow from this. The players are learning not to underestimate their opponent....every team does. I mean who honestly thought that this would not be a sweep for Tampa?

Im also sure they are going to assrape and butt**** the entire NHL for years to come with that lineup and their farm system

If he would waive for COL, this is definitely a starting point for TB to consider, maybe add an expendable RFA as well. I mean you can probably bank on him putting up 40-50 goals a year with Mac and Co.

I wonder if NSH falls in the first round too, would there be something there for Granlund++? I know Stamkos and Subban are pals from way back. Maybe something there. One can wish, right?

Valuable lesson for Tampa? .. this is Stamkos 11th year and FIVE years since loss to Chicago in Stanley Cup .. with most all same players.
Enough of the excuses .. this is veteran team that tied the ALL TIME wins record in NHL .
And first round exit?.. I'm sorry leadership need to change or Tampa fan base will be Panthers in no time .. and check Stamkos playoff stats last 5 years.. well the 3 years he wasn't hurt .. he great PP one time shooter.. after that .. he top 100 forward.. that about it. HE MINUS 5 IN PLUS MINUS IN FIRST 3 GAMES.

You are correct. You think the only teams that Stamkos would be interested in moving to would be a "contending" team, and most of those teams don't have cap to do a trade for picks. And part of the reason Tampa would move Stamkos is for cap space.
Gee, by your description of Stamkos, a Stamkos for Nylander trade seems logical. But that ain't happening from the Tampa side.

maybe it's not Stamkos and you should have given him a team without 5 wingers under 6 feet tall against a heavy hitting Torts team eh?
