Moving on from Kadri

Description
to start; this is not b/c of the Susp. ; see my prior ACGM's and you will see that i have been flipping Kadri/Nylander to get under the cap for a while. Question is, will WN29 be ready to play #3c, is he better suited as a W with AM34? how do TML get under $83m...... and as many ACGM's have forgotten actually improve the DEF

I am still not sold on the RHD; but that can be resolved by trading Nylander if it came to that.... or the potential Marleau (post bonus paid) retirement, then trade contract cap hit

I think you got the good basis for a trade there with Dallas. Dallas might be light on RD depth next season and might actually be willing to take Zaitsev off your hands instead of Borgman or in addition to Borgman.

Easy now...

No need to trade Horton he can go on ltir

in the scenario above they would. To take the Gabby contract on and also LTIR it, it would put them over the 10% above the cap ($8.3M) LTIR threshold

Thought about that as well, Dallas could flip back a Blake comeau ($2.4M) who could be a handy replacement (albeit older and not as good) for C. Brown

If I were DAL I'd decline. We let Roussel walk because he took too many penalties. We can't acquire another dirty player in our team.

Also offensively the difference between Faksa and Kadri was only one goal. Kadri doesn't really bring anything to our team it doesn't already have.

No thanks. Polak does better work $3M cheaper. Just look at our goals against statistics.

So Dallas has Klingberg, Polak and ??? On LD Dallas is set... Lindell, Heiskenan, Honka & Oleksiak (assuming the proposed trade doesn't happen).

Currently they have Lovejoy. And he has been pretty good.

Lovejoy is a UFA and he's 35yrs old. No guarantee he will be back.
I didn't say Dallas needs Zaitsev, said they "might be willing" to take him off Toronto's hands. He's a good player, cost controlled for 5 years. Maybe the contract is a $1M too much for Zaitsev, but it could be a lot worse.....
