McCann is capable of getting 50 points with Crosby. It was a good deal still. That trade wasn’t their issue.

They addressed 0 issues And added bad cap. McCann is good but we could score 50 points w Crosby that’s hardly a compliment. I mean sheary did that same thing. They need guys who can produce away from Sid and they didn’t address at all. Just my opinion

They need a legit top 4 LHD, and some younger forwards. Bjustaad is still easily movable if they decide to. There’s gonna have a very busy offseason.
Kessel, maatta both 100% gone
I’d like to move Hornqvist and/or rust
And obviously Johnson but that would be tough
Sullivan should be gone too. Embarrassing performance by him

Trotz learned that if you stop Crosby .... this team is useless. Last year Was huge for him

Pens BEST hockey was 2016 when they had actual depth scoring. 3 lines that threatened the opposition. Need to build off that principle. Won’t be easy, but it’s possible. They’ve done it before. Gotta buy low on some bounce back guys again

I mean worst case they never return to former glory and they won 3 cups with this core. That’s still pretty cool.

Best franchise of the salary cap era and it’s not close

I’ve gotten to see 3 insane cup runs, attend two parades, and have countless insane playoff memories. As a fan I’m spoiled. Every great thing must come to an end, I just hope it’s not yet haha

Edler is going to re-sign with Vancouver. Habs don't need RHD they would probably want Maatta instead.

I can only imagine. I went crazy over one cup. They way the nhl rigs the draft penguins won’t have to wait too long

Lmao I think caps have a REAL shot at repeating this year. The east just lost two big players. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Serendipity post NK !!!!!
Don't think you can 'dump/waggle your junk' to the rest of the league as trades and of course they're more than happy to help your lovely PIT organization out of the black hole they got themselves into...NOT!

Wouldnt take Hornqvist for free lol let alone for Murphy. Hornqvist is showing exactly why you never sign powerforward to long term deals when they are 32 + He is going on the Backes, Simmonds, Lucic trajectory of being overpaid while providing nothing but size.

I think the two hardest players the penguins have to move is Horny and Johnson if they move him. I'm not sure they do yet. Someone has to replace him.

You can't blame that lose on the defense, other than Letang for leaving a 2 on 1. The only other goal was a power play goal and a fluke empty net goal that there was nothing they could do against.
