The idea behind this is that Tampa doesn't have space to pay Call 6 million this year and the next considering he sucks. I would be surprised if their 23rd overall pick was on the table, but they would have to give something good obviously, I could see next years first (probably 27th overall or higher) for buffalos 2nd round next year (40-50th overall), but not this year's first for STL 2nd in 2 years

Okay at best, still in the A but only 21, give him a few years. I don't think Pens do this though.

The Rasmus Risto trade really intrigues me. Leafs should get rid of Zaitsev and marleau, Im not sure if they're willing to pay Naz and a 1st to do it. They really like Naz (look at his contract, who wouldn't) so I can't see them trading him, maybe someone else like Brown, or Hyman and change the 5th to a 3rd.

Yes. 41 points in his first season in North America. Very good defensive gameplay, a great two-way centerman. Has great speed and make really smart plays with the puck.

Asplund still in the A? It was his first year, hes a rookie and looked fantastic from January on. Far better than OK at best. Hes exceeding the expectations put on him after he was drafted

I'm not going to act like I'm a scout, but looking at his stat line I would say OK, 10 goals in 70 games in the AHL 3 years after he was drafted doesn't make me think Pittsburgh is licking their chops to give up Maatta and a 4th for him, my bad. Do I think he's going to play in the NHL? Yeah he will, but he's not going to be anything special, he'll be okay, decent 3rd liner maybe.
