Because elite goalies are more valuable. If you don't have a good goalie, you aren't going anywhere.

Not so sure he can be called "elite" yet. Potential is elite, but still has a way to go to prove it. IMO.

As a flyers fan, what would you guys feel is a fair trade for johnny hockey?

Last time the Flyers traded an elite goalie (Bobrovsky) it didn't go so well...

Bc he’s young and if he played the entire season philly would have been a playoff team. Haha any number of reasons. Like trading Roy..... works out better for the team receiving him.

So why did philly miss the playoffs by 18 points?
Sure they aren't missing point production but are you saying if they added a 100 point player they would still have missed the playoffs?

Hart was a rookie and was a massive upgrade over the previous starters.

Tampa has a 120+ point guy , 2 guys with 90 points and got swept by a team with one player who was above a point per game......seems like scoring a ton of points hardly matters unless you score them when it matters

Yeah but let's be honest, what happened in tampa was 1 in a million. Im not so sure if they play that series 10 times over that sweep happens again. LoL

After so many years the Flyers finally get a great goalie and a true number 1 and now they want to trade him away for a regular season player like Gaudreau? Don't see that happening at all.

In NHL history There have only been 8 Out of 92 Winners of the trophy. Crosby both ovechkin won more than two times and kuch is probably winning this year. Hart would be a piece in getting any of these players plus Patrick, proverov, and maybe a first. I get that you need a good goalie to go somewhere but Sidney Crosby isn’t getting traded for andrei vasvelesky anytime soon just off of value.

Yeah philly hasn’t had a franchise goalie since hextall.... that’s also been a major down fall. You don’t trade generational talent was my point.....
