Thanks

I know you (as well as some other caniacs) and I have disagreements, but credit where credit is due!

I love being pressed to think about something new. For this conundrum, I have no answer and I have no idea on which side I would come down. Thanks for the challenge!

I think that the canucks would want to make the trade for the marketing aspect of having brothers on the team again but they wouldn’t pay petterson and the devils could ask for more. Ideally for Vancouver it would be boeser and joulevi plus maybe some more but ideally for the devils would be petterson plus a small price more. This is a big conundrum tho

Thanks again for stretching my imagination. You don't know how much that means to me at my age.

I love the question too!

Honestly - I believe the Canucks ask for more. Pettersson is the real deal and there is no risk - after this season most Canucks fans I talk to are convinced that Pettersson will be a 100 point guy for the next 10-15 years. Hughes is still a risk. Not a risk to be a bust, but a risk to be a good but not great NHLer.

In my mind, the Canucks have a player who wants to be in Vancouver... who has dreamt of being a Canuck and I see no reason for trading him unless it included something else substantial.
