I like all these trades and think they’re pretty even it’s just maybe the Edmonton trade might be close as they would probably want a winger to play with McDavid. But I wouldn’t do the Carolina trade I mean Hamilton is great but we’d have no really defensive defencemen and we can just get fox at the end of next season he isn’t coming back anyways.

Then we could trade Kreider for a first rounder and a defensive prospect and hopefully select kaliyev. And then trade two of our seconds and move another pick in the first round and select Thomas Harley and good left handed defence prospect. And then after that we’d still have Tampa’s first rounder and maybe we can add a third and trade up a couple spots and get caufield? That’d be a dream come true.

Actually pretty fair trades, though let's be real, New York native Shattenkirk isn't waiving for Edmonton.

I thought the same thing. But I liked the even value of the deal (again, taken from Brad03520), so I decided to go with it and check the feedback.

Nice breakdown. Would Oilers take Kreider? Or not interested in an expiring contract?

I really like the new option of getting the 1st from Tampa with Callahan. Instead of 50% of Namestnikov with the 2nd, could do 50% of Shattenkirk (for the 1st straight up, keeping the 2nd) or 50% of Smith (maybe just a 4th back, but a nice Plan B to clear Defensive space if an Ottawa dump doesn't happen).

100% they’d love Kreider maybe Puljujärvi and their first? But idk that might be asking for too much but I’d probably try and trade Kreider to someone in the 11-15 range so we can take kaliyev who is a really good scorer in the ohl and then a defensive prospect along with it so it’s kind of a two for one.

Then I’d offer Puljujärvi a contract at 3.5-4 mill for two years so we could afford it but Edmonton probably couldn’t and we’d just have to give up a second if not he doesn’t have a lot of value but has upside so trading a second and a 4th for him could be the play

I would love to get Puljujarvi, but I wouldn't offer him a Bridge deal in that range. While the hope is that he would put it together with a change of scenery, he hasn't yet.

They wouldn't trade Georgiev until the Deadline.

A) to beef up his stock, which has already risen pretty well.

B) while Shestyorkin is the future, he may need some seasoning down at Hartford first. Not going to move Georgiev until you know Shestyorkin is definitely ready.

So if they are expecting his stock to rise by the Deadline, he could probably get a 2nd and/or a decent Prospect by himself.

Kreider a 1st and a Prospect. Pionk a 2nd or 3rd. So as intriguing as Puljujarvi is, would probably get more for that package.
