If Chicago had the #1 overall pick in the draft, it might’ve happened. Not a chance Tampa does this though.

I wouldn't say "much" more but I agree more for sure, like that 2020 2nd needs to be a 1st. Doesn't matter, Tampa would be crazy to let him go at this point in his career and highly doubt they will.

All that said; Hawks need to draft Podkozlin or Cozens; both players have huge ceilings and come for free. Podkozlin has the potential to be the next Hossa. Cozens is be measured to Getzlaf. These guys are basically free and on ELC's for 3 years when they start in the NHL.

TB probably wouldn't make that trade if you threw in two more 1sts. Point has the potential to win multiple selkes.

It'll be interesting to see what TBL does in the off season. They really are forced into trading Callahan, but his M-NTC is pretty weak. What TBL really needs to do...is move fast with whatever they do. What's stopping Bowman from...keeping the 2019 pick...Pick Player X for this discussion...the offer sheet him for $10M 5 years. So the 2020 and 2021 1sts go to TBL... HAVE FUN WITH (2) 25+ picks. Bowman's made dumber moves with 1st rounders than that!
