Description

Even with the salary cap going up, Vegas will never have the money to resign Karlsson on a long terme deal with out trading other contracs. This option would give them a cheaper top 6 player. They also have some free cap room to sign Gusev!

NJ on the other hand have a lot a free cap space and could really use 2 top 6 forwards to come help Hish and Hall. Also 2 draft picks gives out the possibility of 2 other impact player on the long run.

Honestly I dont know, getting a 40 goals, young 2 way center that can do 70 pts and a 45-55 pts 25 goals scorer that is still young also and 2 draft pick for a kid that hasnt proven anything in the nhl yet is a headscratcher to me. Sure hughes has a big potential but is still not that big and except hall, their is nobody to surround him.

I saw the feed name and was like get outta here, but this is a big trade. Haula and Karlsson as well as 2 picks got me tripping. Tough to turn the deal down for a guy who hasn't played a game yet, but if he turns out to be like Mackinnon good Shero will cry to sleep at night.
