option 1 & 2 combined are the best. Move Kadri and Zaitsev. But you're not getting Dante Fabbro for Kadri. Keep Brown, there's nothing about Bracco's game that says he'd be a good 4th liner. He needs to play higher in the lineup to be useful and he's not ready for that yet. Demelo fits but you don't need to give up a 2nd with Zaitsev to get him

I could see us trading Kadri if the return is Fabbro. I think Getting a second for Brown from any team is a wet dream. Taking into account that Edmonton will likely be a poor team next year and thus the 2nd rounder will be a relatively high one makes it even more unlikely. I could see Edmonton trading away the islanders 3rd rounder they hold in the future though and i would take it. Brown is a 4th liner and he cant be making 2+ million for that role. In a scenario where we trade away Kadri and sloti Nylander into 3C, i would rather call up Bracco and have him play a top 9 role and have Moore play the left wing.

unless Nashville moves turris, I dont see them going for Kadri, though that return is pretty damn fair. They have RyJo-Turris-Bonino as their centre punch and Granland who has played centre in the past. bracco isn't getting any more than a 3rd round pick.

I would probably take a third but I would ask for a 2nd. I 2nd will yield a 50% chance that they make it to the nhl and most likely not for 2-3 years. In the hands of Edmonton it is a 1% chance that they ever develop properly. That is my basis for the trade minus my shot at their development.

Kadri or turris could play the wing. You will notice that in my other two agm’s I have him playing 1LW.

Nashville is deep on RHD and thin on offence. I think this trade could fit both sides well and think the value is fair. If Kadri wouldn’t have acted like a bonehead I might have asked for more. But I think that hurts his value.

Bracco is ready. If not for the solid RW depth he would have been on the team this year. Could also be filled by a league min ufa if you don’t like that.

I would rather keep Kadri and move him to 1LW. 2 snipers for marner and our 3 best defensive forwards to match top lines.

kadri and turris are both natural centres. playing them on wing would be dumb.

Centres on wings seems to work out for Toronto... marner Hyman and nylander and marleau seem to be okay with it... also comes in very handy when a top 6 centre goes down to injury.

Personally I would move turris...

I’d say the Johnsson and Kapanen are on the low end, especially for two years. I’d put them closer to 3.5-4m, and at that price you can only keep one. The only way it’d work is if Kapanen and Johnsson took discounts on a 1 year contract until more cap space is opened up next year.

You’d be nuts to put them on deals like that... give them the kucherov bridge? Nah I don’t think so. I gave them what I thought was fair. Could be a touch more money or less money on a 1 year deal. I stuck them right in the middle of the range I see for them.

Brown isn't worth more than a 3rd Round Pick. Why would Edmonton give up a second for him?

Would need to come up with something different. Cheap elc left handed winger or bowey... I know you’re thin on RHD we could give back Holl who can play at the nhl level... just low sheltered minutes.

The move for Kadri has to bring back less than a million in waiver eligible players. Can’t be a LHD or a RW.

My ask would be a 2nd and I would settle for a 3rd. Brown is a very valuable and versatile player. I think a lot of GM’s take note of the small things he does out there. Really hate to lose the kid but we just don’t have the room for him in the top 6 or even 9.

It's really hard for the Leafs to justify his $2.1M hit as well considering the crunch they're looking at. Even if the Leafs are capable of moving Kadri and Zaitsev for legitimate returns, he's still an expensive luxury they cannot simply afford. If Kadri gets flipped for a RHD and Zaitsev sees Toronto taking back at least $2M in salary or cap hit back, the Leafs are still going to need wiggle room. The Oilers offer should start and end at the 2019 NYI 3rd at the upcoming draft, possibly the EDM 2020 3rd if they look at settling a deal after the draft.

Neither team should be offering the other a life preserver, but both are in a situation where they can't toss the other an anchor. Meet in the middle and find the amicable deal for both sides, then get about business.

Lmao... not retaining 2m on zaitsev. But yup to the meat in the middle. A 2nd or 3rd doesn’t mean much to me.

bowey and a second absolutely. lets us keep AA on the wing and kadri slots up at 2nd center which he can play. larkin mantha zadina bertuzzi kadri and AA top 6. ill take I for now. we have green and daley still on the right and add hronek and even a guy like McQuaid in ufa cheap.
